This client approached us through our local Chamber of Commerce for many reasons. Not only was he unhappy with his Xerox-focussed web site but he wasn't getting the support he desired from his current web design firm.

Not only did we redesign and refocus his web site with his latest product offerings but we installed web stats and provided an email newsletter system to allow him to keep in contact with his client list.

Hi there,

Being "stuck" in Florida isn't all that bad, especially when there is 2 feet of snow back home!

After our flight home was cancelled, I am now spending a few more days away from the home office but because I have my laptop with me, can continue to work wirelessly at the hotel Business Center.

Plus the wife and kids are happy because they get to spend a few more days by the pool and at the beach so if they are happy, I am happy.

A Business Solution

In our web design world, having the ability to work from any location is key. With the rising popularity of laptops and wireless connections virtually everywhere, firing up the laptop and continuing to work is crucial.

After a week in Sanibel, Florida, on a family vacation, we were due to fly home at the weekend. I was even due to speak at a local Chamber of Commerce function on Monday morning.

But a huge snow storm in the north eastern United States has meant that our home airport was closed and the flight cancelled. Next available flight home is Wednesday so we managed to extend our hotel stay and car rental, and the kids get to spend a few more days by the pool and at the beach—so they are doing just fine, thank you!

And because I have my laptop with me, I can use the Business Center to carry on working, albeit on a limited schedule, and keep our clients happy.

A portable business is a successful business.
