December's Feature

Joshua Tree Oasis Blog

[Web site: Joshua Tree Oasis Blog]

Realizing that he needed a new way to grow his business and get more people to book his California desert vacation home, he was open to our suggestion of integrating a blog into his Web site.

Most importantly, it inspires the client to invest in his online presence, empowering him to spend time and energy in improving how his business is portrayed to potential visitors.

Hi there,

The end of another year is upon us, which allows us time to reflect on 2007 and what we can do to power our businesses into 2008.

Whether it be professional Web design, help improving rankings in the search engines, want to start an email newsletter for your business, or join the crazy world of blogging, we can help. Let us know your idea and we'll do our best to provide a solution.

Lastly, time stood still for us on November 28th, 2007, at 2.04pm EST. We held our breath and were amazed as Zoe Mycroft entered our world and joined our family with full voice and a beating heart!

Merry Christmas and a happy New Year to you all. See ya in '08... it's gonna be a big year!

Industry Insight

Let's save the world, one step at a time. We all know that climate change is affecting every single one of us, some in devastating ways, others in minor ones.

When an online order ships from a warehouse to its destination, fossil fuels are burned, producing CO2, which is one of the primary gases contributing to climate change.

ShipGreen™ offers your customers the chance to ship their orders carbon neutral. When purchasing an item, they can simply click a box and add on average anywhere between $.29 to $.49 to offset the CO2 emissions generated by shipping their order.

ShipGreen™ is an eco-friendly shipping program that easily integrates into your existing online shopping cart. With just a single click, customers who buy products from you can use ShipGreen™ to offset the CO2 created by shipping their order. It takes less than 5 minutes for you to get started.

A Business Solution

As it's the end of the year, we thought we'd share some information with you about this newsletter and how it is performing. We don't think it can cause any harm so why not? We're not shy.

We now have 173 subscribers and are picking up about 5 new people every month, which is great (that's 60 per year, right?).

in 2007, our average open rate hovers between 40 and 45%*, which is 15% above average, and between 20 and 30% of you who open the newsletter actually click a link!

We find that Tuesday mornings between 9am and 11am are the best times to get the best open rate.

The bottom line is that we hope you continue to enjoy it and help give you an insight into Paul Mycroft + Company. Please let us know if there is something you'd like to see in future editions.

* this figure is probably less than the actual figure because many people read HTML emails with their images turned off, which is not what the email newsleter system needs to register an "open." They want images turned ON.
